AK heat shrink breakout boots are designed for sealing cable ends with separated cores. They are also used to make heads (indoor and outdoor) and cable joints on cables with polymer and paper insulation for voltages of 0.6/1kV and 3.6/6kV. Long-term and reliable operation of breakout boots is ensured by resistance to UV radiation, aggressive chemical agents and creeping currents.
Made of high-quality cross-linked polymer, thanks to which they are resistant to creeping currents and erosion (anti-tracking).
They have excellent insulating and sealing properties.
The inner surfaces of breakout boots are covered with a layer of hot-melt adhesive.
Working temperature: from -30°C to +135°C,
Shrinking temperature: > +125°C.
Elongation at break: minimum 300%.< br>Volume resistivity: minimum 1013 µcm,
Does not cause corrosion in contact with copper.
UV radiation resistant.
Dielectric strength: minimum 10kV/mm.
Heat shock resistance: none cracking and material flow (measurement for 4 h at +250°C). Heat aging: no cracking or material flow (measured during 500 h at +120°C).
