Joint is designed to connect unshielded three-core plastic insulated cables for voltage 3.6/6kV, e.g. Y(A)KY,Y(A)KYFty,Y(A)KYFo Basic electrical insulation for three-core plastic insulated cables and armored is made with self-amalgamating Scotch 23 tape and cold-shrink tubes resistant to moisture and mechanical damage. The high parameters of the prefabricated element allow it to be used even in cases where the temperature will remain constantly at the level of 90°C, and with short-term loads it can reach up to 130°C. The sheaths are connected by means of a tinned copper sleeve with a cross-section of 25 mm and springs with a constant pressure force. An additional cold shrink tube is used to reconstruct the outer sheath of the cable.
