TCR 25, 4/12, 7 CL is used for insulation of wires.
Heat-shrinkable materials are obtained by cross-linking polyethylene using a chemical or radiation method. From such a material, the shape of the product is formed at high temperatures and solidified by cooling to room temperature. During this process, the product significantly increases its transverse dimensions. By then heating the product during assembly to a temperature of 120 ÷ 200 °C, we will cause the shapes from which it is built to melt and thanks to the “shape memory”, which characterizes the product, it will try to return to its original shape, significantly reducing its transverse dimensions, squeezing tightly item previously placed in it. This provides electrical insulation, anti-corrosion protection and improves aesthetics. Cross-linked polyethylene is also characterized by high resistance to stress corrosion cracking, solvents, acid and alkali solutions, salts, petrol and oils. Some products are covered with glue inside, which further increases the tightness and pressure resistance. They are used to insulate terminals, connectors, clamps, holders, distribution bars, connect bundles of wires and cover various other elements in electronics, electrical engineering and mechanical engineering.
