Intended use
The motion sensor is used for automatic, temporary switching on of lighting in the event of the appearance of a person or other object in places such as  corridors, courtyards, approaches and driveways, garages, etc.
 

Operation
The sensor detects sources of infrared radiation. It analyzes parameters such as the size of the object, the amount of emitted heat and the speed of movement between individual detection sectors. Movement in the detection field automatically turns on the lighting. From the moment of switching on, continuous movement causes permanent switching on of the lighting. Only the lack of movement in the detection field triggers the lighting hold time. Another movement in the detection field and its disappearance during the time measurement will trigger the backup time from the beginning. The nature of operation allows the DR-06 to be used as a presence sensor. The motion sensor is equipped with a twilight switch that prevents switching on the controlled lighting during the day. The detection status and readiness to switch on the lighting are activated only after dusk. The activation time of the sensor can be corrected by the user with a potentiometer. In addition, it is possible to adjust the detection field area within the radius of 1÷5m (for h=2.5÷3.5m) and adjust the receiver activation time in the range of 3s-12min. Changes in temperature may affect motion detection.

The motion sensor can operate indoors and outdoors in places where it is not exposed to direct rain or snow and the housing may be splashed with water or other liquid sensor and its electrical connection points.
