The DATA plug socket is designed to work in separated, filtered networks equipped with uninterruptible power supplies (UPS) powering devices such as computers, electronic music equipment, data transmission devices, electronic cash registers and other sensitive to radio-electronic interference, impulse voltage spikes, etc. Therefore, it is used wherever we want only one authorized receiver to use the socket.
