Transmitters

Transmitters are the basic element of wireless installations and are used to control various types of devices remotely. Thanks to such properties, the transmitters are one of the basic elements of modern control systems for installations called a smart home.

Before the emergence and development of smart home technology, each installation in a building had one task (e.g. heating, ventilation or monitoring). A set of devices performing a given function had its own automation with separate controllers and remote controls.

Modern installations, however, offer more and more possibilities, which in turn has greatly complicated the process of controlling them. While individually each system may seem simple and efficient, several such solutions in one building began to generate problems. It should be remembered that technological development concerns such a variety of installations as ventilation and air conditioning, various types of lighting, multimedia, roller shutters and external awnings, and even automatic irrigation.

The answer to these complications is smart home, which allows you to conveniently and efficiently control various types of equipment and installations. This solution allows, among others, to reduce the costs of building use and increase the sense of security and comfort of residents and guests. Similar solutions are also used in office buildings and other public buildings, because a good quality system can be freely expanded and adapted to the ever-changing requirements and way of life.

Transmitters support the operation of a smart home

The operation of the entire smart home system is controlled by an advanced and extensive controller. Its task is to collect and process signals from various sensors located indoors and outdoors. Electrical cables or radio waves are used to transmit signals.

Sensors are most often integrated as part of a smart home:

  • traffic,
  • temperatures,
  • humidity,
  • pressure,
  • light intensity,
  • water,
  • smoke,
  • carbon monoxide and other dangerous gases.

The sensors record changes inside and outside and transmit them to the central unit, thanks to which the various installations receive the relevant information. As a result, the subsystems react in accordance with the programmed operation scheme.

EXAMPLE 1: If movement is detected in the building in the absence of residents, the system sends information, e.g. to the security of the building and to the owners. At the same time, it can, for example, turn on the lighting in the house and in the garden, turn on the sound signal, lower the roller shutters or lock the door.

EXAMPLE 1: If someone in the household accidentally leaves a window open in a room that is heated, the system will send a notification to the residents. It is also possible to program the operation in such a way that the heating in the room is limited at the same time, which saves the owners from unnecessary costs.

The offer of el12.pl includes various types of equipment and devices that enable the installation of a smart home. These are both simple solutions (e.g. power supplies, regulators, transmitters) and more technologically advanced ones (necessary to install a wireless system).

Transmitters of various technical advancement

One of the types of transmitters used in a smart home are remote controls. The el12.pl warehouse offers various solutions in terms of functionality.

The remote controls of the wireless control system are available in the following versions:

  • 2-key,
  • 4-key,
  • 8-key.

These devices are universal transmitters that enable the execution of the functions of lighting control, control of window blinds, entrance and garage gates, etc. The remote controls are equipped with backlighting elements, signaling the operation of the transmitter, ergonomic rubber keyboard and practical chains for mounting, for example, on keys.

The remote controls are most often available in 2-channel, 4-channel and 8-channel versions. The el12.pl offer also includes a very advanced and extensive 36-channel remote control, which is a universal transmitter, enabling e.g. lighting control, raising and lowering window blinds (up to 18 window blinds), opening and closing entrance and garage gates. The remote control is also equipped with backlight elements (signalling the selected set of keys and transmission) and an ergonomic silicone keyboard.

The advantages of such a device include:

  • possibility of independent control of 36 receivers or 18 blinds,
  • large operating range,
  • powerful battery power,
  • modern look,
  • optical signaling of the selected set of keys, sending information and battery status,
  • possibility of switching on or off any number of receivers at the same time,
  • built-in magnet in the housing, allowing the remote control to be attached to a metal surface (metal holder included).

Radio transmitters

Radio key transmittersavailable in the el12.pl offer are elements used to send control signals (switch on/off, dimming/brightening, raising/lowering window blinds, time functions). The transmitters have the form of a traditional installation connector. Thanks to their small size, low weight and simple, elegant form, they can be placed on any surface (even glass or wooden) and in any location of the room. You can choose a 2- or 4-channel transmitter (both with IP20 protection and a maximum range of 250 m).

The modular radio transmitter is a device cooperating with the receivers of the EXTA FREE wireless control system (available in the el12.pl offer), mounted on a TH35 rail. It has 4 independent inputs triggered with 230 V voltage. Installation switches, wired building automation system devices or any other relay devices (e.g. time programmers, motion detectors, programmable relays) can be connected to the RNM-10 trigger terminals. The use of the transmitter allows for the integration of the above-mentioned devices with the receivers of the EXTA FREE system and their wireless control.

Transmitter Features:

  • possibility of independent control of four receivers,
  • cooperation with an unlimited number of EXTA FREE system receivers,
  • easy to install and use,
  • integration with wired building automation systems,
  • the device is energy-saving, adapted to continuous operation,
  • possibility to connect an external antenna.

Radio recessed transmitters enable control of devices within the EXTA FREE system using units mounted in flush-mounted boxes - under the existing equipment. An undoubted advantage of such a solution is simple assembly, without the need to interfere with the existing electrical installation.

Transmitter Features:

  • four trigger inputs (voltage free),
  • simultaneous activation/deactivation of any number of receivers in the EXTA FREE system,
  • battery powered,
  • possibility of independent control of four receivers,
  • possibility to increase the operating range by using a repeater,
  • can be connected to an existing, traditional installation connector,
  • large operating range (up to 200 m).
