Soft starters

Soft starters are devices used to limit the current surge at the time of starting equipment powered by electricity (so-called soft start). Thanks to them, various types of devices start slower, which allows you to avoid the situation of current jerks, which in the extreme case may lead to failure. Soft starters are mainly used in electric motors, halogen lamps, power supplies and rectifiers equipped with capacitors. A different type of soft starter is used for each of these devices. Their choice should be dictated by the power rating, starting power, load level, temperature resistance, synchronous speed of the supported equipment and the number of starts in a given time. You should also pay attention to the dimensions, rated voltage of the controller, current consumption, degree of protection and maximum voltage.
