Multifunction meter MPI-530-IT of the latest generation, allowing to perform all measurements in the electrical installation in accordance with the PN-EN 61557 standard:

  • short-circuit loop impedance with resolution up to 0.001 Ω – accurate measurement also in circuits with RCDs,
  • parameters of RCDs, also in isolated IT networks,
  • insulation resistance,
  • earthing resistance ,
  • continuity of protective and equipotential bonding.

The device has an innovative memory that allows saving tens of thousands of results in the structure of a ready protocol.

Data from memory can be transmitted to a PC via a USB cable or wirelessly via Bluetooth®.

Fault loop impedance measurements:

  • measurement of short-circuit loop impedance with a resolution of 0.001 Ω with a current of 23 A (44 A at phase-to-phase voltage) - short-circuit resistor Rzw = 10 Ω,
  • measuring voltage range: 95...440 V, frequency 45...65 Hz,
  • measurement of short-circuit loop impedance with a resolution of up to 0.01 Ω, in installations protected by RCDs with IΔn ≥ 30 mA without tripping,
  • automatic calculation of short-circuit current; distinguishing phase-to-phase voltage and phase-to-phase voltage,
  • measurements using UNI-Schuko plug with a button that triggers the measurement (also with L and N wires swapped) or 1.2 m, 5 m, 10 m, 20 m long wires with possible use of 3-phase socket adapters. (AGT),
  • selection of installation protections and automatic assessment of the measurement result.

Testing of AC, A, F and B RCDs:

  • measurement of ordinary, short-time delay and selective circuit breakers with rated residual currents of 10, 30, 100, 300, 500 and 1000 mA,
  • function of automatic measurement of a full set of circuit breaker parameters (after pressing the "START" button once, the meter performs the entire programmed cycle of measurements, including the possibility of measuring the impedance of the L-PE short-circuit loop with a current of 15 mA),
  • user-selectable shape of the forced leakage current waveform: sinusoidal (starting from the rising edge or (positive or negative), unidirectional pulsating (positive or negative), unidirectional pulsating with DC bias (positive and negative), constant (positive and negative),

Professionally and comprehensively

The MPI-530-IT multi-function meter is a response to the needs of specialists in the electrical industry, mainly installers and measuring engineers. This extremely versatile, multifunctional instrument is used to measure parameters of electrical installations and allows for carrying out all measurements related to protection against electric shock that are described in the HD 60364-6 standard, including measurements of residual current protections in networks with isolated neutral point of IT transformer. The meter has been constructed in accordance with the requirements of the EN 61557 standard.

This model of meter boasts extensive earthing measurement functions in the form of additional clamp methods and soil resistivity measurement. When using the optional AutoISO-1000C adapter, it is also possible to carry out automatic insulation resistance measurements in sockets and for 3-, 4- and 5-core cables. An additional external probe also enables illuminance testing. In addition, the meter allows the recording and analysis of network parameters including harmonics up to the 40th.

The Sonel MPI-530-IT incorporates the functions and capabilities of several measuring devices into one advanced instrument. A multitude of practical functions combined with high measurement precision makes the Sonel MPI-530-IT a reliable measuring instrument.

    • voltage L1 – average values in the range up to 500 V,
    • L1 current – average values, current measurement in the range up to 3 kA (depending on the current probes used),
    • frequency in the range of 40 Hz – 70 Hz,
    • active (P), reactive (Q) and apparent (S) power,
    • power factor (PF), cosφ,
    • harmonics (up to 40th for voltage and current),
    • total harmonic distortion (THD) for current and voltage.

Inspection of electrical safety

This device may be used to inspect safety of electrical systems in households and industrial facilities. Measurements can be easily automated with:

  • auto mode of residual current devices (RCD) tests,
  • the WS adapter that can be used for testing systems via standard 230 V sockets,
  • AutoISO-1000C adapter for automatic insulation resistance test of 3-, 4- and 5-conductor cables, without switching.

Memory structure

The memory structure has a tree form. It has the ability to store tens of thousands of results in the configuration of CLIENT-OBJECT-FACILITY-MEASURING POINT, which helps to create a clear test protocol during later stages. This structure may be prepared in the meter, before starting the work. Entering data into the device is facilitated by QWERTY keyboard with Bluetooth communication module.

Built-in help system

The device has built-in help screens with measurement diagrams. Thanks to this you can easily and quickly check and make sure how to connect to a given system depending on the type of performed measurement.

Increased resistance to environmental conditions

The MPI-530-IT meter will cope well in difficult environmental conditions. Protection against penetration of dust and water is ensured by a unique housing with a level of protection IP54. It is resistant to mechanical damage, and a special design allows you to easily protect the screen by shielding using the cover of the meter. In addition to the fact that it protects against damage, it also allows you to conveniently carry and use the device in different positions.

Communication and software

You can easily transfer measurement data to your computer via USB port or Bluetooth wireless communication. In order to generate a report on measurements for electric shock protection, use Sonel Reports PLUS software. Saving the downloaded data to the simplest formats and printing is provided by free Sonel Reader software
