Intended use
OP-230 is a professional class III protection for devices operating in industrial switching stations, especially sensitive to overvoltages in the power supply network. Dedicated in particular to extensive industrial automation systems with the use of time relays, PLC controllers, multimeters, computers and other microprocessor devices. Also for use in home installations as protection for computer and RTV equipment. OP-230 implements two protections:
Advanced overvoltage protection system – type 3 (formerly class D), protecting devices in the circuit in which the arrester is included. Special varistors work both with typical mains overvoltages and with dangerous asymmetric overvoltages, which often occur simultaneously with symmetrical overvoltages. OP-230 absorbs a high value of a surge impulse with an extremely short response time. Based on many years of experience in designing and using electronic devices, it has allowed us to create a product with high technical parameters. The use of not one or three, but six varistors, as usual, creates a double degree of ultimate protection.
Triple anti-interference filter - a specially designed passive choke system, largely eliminating radio interference and industrial. It is a symmetric filter. At the same time, it blocks interference coming from the power grid and vice versa - interference from user devices (microwave oven, computer, switched-mode power supplies, etc.) are not passed to the mains. The surge arrester filter is a system with a four-circuit structure (a four-terminal circuit - one of the pairs of terminals is the input and the other is the output), which allows voltages and currents of a certain frequency band, and suppresses voltages and currents lying outside this band. Filters are mainly used in electronic and energy devices. Placed between the power source and the receiver, they cause the receiver to receive a signal with the desired frequency spectrum.
