Natural gas used in gas cookers, for example, is a colorless gas that is barely perceptible. It is lighter than air, so it accumulates in the upper parts of rooms. When combined with oxygen, it creates a highly explosive mixture. Propane-butane gas (LPG) is heavier than air, just as natural gas creates an explosive mixture with oxygen. Installing gas sensors in rooms where a gas leak may occur is a way to detect the threat of a gas explosion early on.
The CGZ-01 gas sensor is used to continuously monitor the presence of explosive gases (natural and propane-butane) in the air. If an increased gas concentration (approx. 10% LEL*) is detected, the device activates an audible and visual alarm, allowing the user to react early enough to prevent an explosion or poisoning. The device is equipped with an advanced semiconductor sensor and an electronic self-diagnostic system that signals sensor damage. 230 V power supply.
