The priority relay is designed to prevent overloading of the building installation due to the simultaneous switching on of many large current consumers (e.g. flow heater).
The coil of the ED183 priority relay is connected in series with the priority receiver. When this load is switched on, the output contact opens and switches off the load contactor without priority.
