The ECO web interface has been developed for applications with limited process image size. Applications of this kind generally use many binary signals with a limited number of analog signals. The system bus is powered directly from the interface. Powering the field bus requires a separate power module. During the initialization phase, the PROFIBUS interface analyzes the structure of the node and, based on the state of the inputs and outputs, creates a process image. In order to optimally use the address space, modules occupying less than 8 bits are grouped into full bytes. It is possible to configure modules as inactive. Thanks to this, you can freely modify the structure of the node due to peripheral signals, without interfering with the previously written driver program. Diagnostics of the attached modules is carried out in accordance with EN 50170, so there is no need for software interpretation of diagnostic states.
