Intended use
The phase sequence and loss sensor is designed to protect electric motors powered from a three-phase network in the event of a voltage loss in at least one phase or voltage asymmetry between phases, threatening to destroy the motor, and to protect the direction of rotation ; in the motor in case of phase change in front of the sensor.
Action
Voltage failure in at least one arbitrary phase or Voltage unbalance [V] between the phases above the activation threshold will cause the motor to be switched off. The switch-off will take place with a delay of 4 seconds, which prevents accidental disconnection of the motor in the event of a momentary voltage drop. Reactivation will occur automatically when voltage increase by 5V above the operating voltage (i.e. the value of the voltage hysteresis). With the above anomalies, starting the engine is impossible. In the event of a change in the sequence of phases before the sensor, causing an undesirable change in the direction of rotation of the motor, the sensor will not allow the motor to start. Reactivation is possible after the return of the correct phase sequence.
