ZCM-31 digital control clocks are used to implement time functions in automation and control systems. Turning the device on/off is related to sunrise and sunset (dawn and civil twilight). In the calculations of sunrise and sunset times, information about the geographical coordinates of the clock's installation location, the current date and the offset to universal time are used. The system calculates the end of civil twilight, i.e. the phase in which the center of the sun's disk is 6o below the horizon - the sun's disk is not visible, but the sky is illuminated with diffused sunlight. The system additionally has a programmable night break function and the ability to shift the calculated time of sunrise / sunset in the range of ± 120 minutes. The construction of the housing allows the system to be mounted on a TH 35 rail and, if necessary, to seal the device. The design of the system guarantees battery backup of all settings in the absence of supply voltage.
