Insulated aluminum

Self-supporting cables are used in the construction of low voltage overhead lines. They are usually used at connections for individual customers and industrial facilities. In insulated wires, a bare wire or strand is covered with a layer of insulating material, and then protected with layers of various materials against chemical, weather and mechanical damage, depending on the conditions in which they are to work. This category includes insulated cables with an aluminum conductor.
